Pennine Events Honoured Those Who Have Fallen for Our Country and Freedom. Pennine Events are honoured to have been a part of the service held on Remberance Sunday in honour and memory of all the soldiers who have fallen for our country and freedom. River Of Light
Spectacular Installations Light Up Liverpool City Centre in the Most Successful River of Light to Date. This year’s River of Light was themed ‘Rhythm of Light’ and consisted of 12 mesmerising installations across a 2km trail around Liverpool city centre, each celebrating and highlighting the relationship between Liverpool, music, and light. Light Up Lancaster
For the last few years, Pennine events has headed to Lancaster for Bonfire night and this year was no exception! The team, along side with Lancaster council, were tasked with producing and managing a 2-day light festival across the 5th and 6th of November, with a huge firework display set to be the grand finale on the Saturday night. Stage 2 of the Women’s Tour of Britain
A day spent celebrating Women in sport and the culture of Walsall. The Pennine team headed to Walsall on Tuesday 5th October for stage 2 of The Women’s Tour of Britain. Tasked with traffic managements, route mapping and producing and managing 3 festival areas, we had our work cut out, however, the day was a great success despite the wind and rain! Connect Health- Flippin Pain Tour
The Pennine Team joined the Flippin’ Pain Peloton as it travelled across the country to raise awareness for Chronic Pain. Travelling from Stamford to Spalding, Sleaford, Boston, Skegness, Mablethorpe, Market Rasen, Gainsborough, Lincoln and finally finishing in Grantham across just 5 days, the PE team and the Flippin Pain peloton had their work cut out and pedalled some serious miles! Cycle Silverstone – Pennine Events Beat the Track!
5th September 2021 saw the first ever Cycle Silverstone take place at the world renowned British Grand Prix track, Silverstone Circuit! Appointed as Silverstone’s strategic sports partner in 2021, Pennine Events, combined with Silverstone’s own teams were tasked with creating, marketing, and delivering the brand new, extremely exciting event. Several thousand cyclists, of all abilities, gathered for a 10K, 20K or 50K, ride conquered the Hamilton Straight and #BeatTheTrack. Social Bite – Break the Cycle!
Honoured to be involved and blown away by the efforts and achievements of cyclists and fundraisers, Pennine Events look back on Break the Cycle. Over £700,000 was raised on Sunday 5th September 2021 in Social Bites’ event ‘Break the Cycle’ a 60-mile cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh, led by Sir Chris and followed by hundreds of fundraising cyclists, raising money to build two new homeless villages. Abseiling off one of the UK’s most amazing buildings
Hundreds gathered to enjoy the thrill of Abseiling off one of the UK’s most amazing buildings and raising money for charity in the 2021 Liverpool Cathedral Abseil. Running across 4 weekends in July, hundreds experienced the thrill of abseiling off one of the UK’s most amazing buildings, the iconic Liverpool Cathedral. Descending 150ft, free hang from above the great West Door, some people faced fears, some revelled in the excitement- all raising money for some amazing charities and causes. Regions first mass participation cycle event raises £72,000+ for local causes.
Cyclists pedalled for purpose during the first major sports event in the region since the pandemic began on Sunday 4th July. After over a year of enforced limited social contact, strict regulations resulting in a detrimental impact on many people’s wellbeing; the organisers of the historic LCL (Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool) event pushed through with the community bike ride Sunday 4th July 2021. After over a year of enforced limited social contact, strict regulations resulting in a detrimental impact on many people’s wellbeing; the organisers or the historic LCL (Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool) bike ride has announced they will be back on Sunday 4th July 2021.
